Short-term observation of liver transplantation combined with multidisciplinary integrated treatment of liver metastases from neuroendocrine tumours beyond the Milan criteria

#4585

Introduction: The continuous progress of comprehensive treatment enables neuroendocrine tumour liver metastasis (NENLM) that meets Milan criteria to achieve longer survival without liver transplantation (LT). LT often faces high tumour burden, while comprehensive treatment also brings new opportunities for recurrence.

Aim(s): Observation of LT combined with comprehensive treatment of NENLM beyond the Milan Criteria.

Materials and methods: Retrospective analysis of 27 NENLM-LT exceeding Milan criteria from Jan. 2019 to Oct. 2023. All tumour burden > 50%. Collect baseline characteristics, pre LT treatment, recurrence and treatment status. 16 NENLM non-LT were included, and propensity matching was used to eliminate confounding factors. Kaplan Meier curves analyse the survival differences between LT and non LT.
