Introduction: Carcinoid syndrome is a significant clinical problem in neuroendocrine tumors (NETs). Somatostatin analogues (SSA) have been the mainstay management for carcinoid syndrome.
Aim(s): To assess the efficacy of SSA for carcinoid syndrome.
Materials and methods: The Cochrane Library, MEDLINE, EMBASE, Chinese Biomedical Database, and China National Knowledge Infrastructure database were searched until September 2013 for identifying the randomized trials.
