Introduction: The outcome of the primary lung neuroendocrine tumors (L-NETs) surgery at metastatic stage remains poorly characterized.

Aim(s): We performed a safety study to evaluate major morbidity and mortality of surgical resection of the primary tumor and compared data in operative and non-operative group.

Materials and methods: We conducted a retrospective national study including patients with metastatic L-NETs at diagnosis.
