Surgery of small bowel neuroendocrine tumors: 10 years’ experience at a tertiary centre
#4040
Introduction: Small bowel neuroendocrine tumors are often found when they have already spread. These tumors are hard to treat, and there are many different treatments.
Aim(s): The aim of this study is to explore the trends in clinical presentation, diagnostic assessment, surgical approach and oncological outcomes, among patients with neuroendocrine neoplasms of the small bowel.
Materials and methods: This study looked back at all the adult patients with SB NET who were treated at Curie Pierre and Mary Center of Algier in Algeria from 1 January 2014 to 25 October 2023. It collected and reported data about their clinical features, treatments, and disease course. It calculated how long they lived and how long they stayed free of disease at 3, 5 and 10 years.
