Survey for neuroendocrine tumors’ standard of care - A multidisciplinary pilot study in Spanish specialists

#3216

Introduction: The standard of care for the treatment of neuroendocrine tumors (NETs) seems to have shifted over the last few years towards a multidisciplinary approach. In Spain, there is a lack of real-world data related to NET management in Medical NETs Specialist population.

Aim(s): To conduct an online survey of NETs’ Standard of Care in Specialized Medical Staff (oncology, endocrinology, surgery, nuclear medicine, and pathology) in Spanish hospitals.

Materials and methods: The survey was designed based on different aspects of neuroendocrine care covered in current evidence. Furthermore, other aspects such as training and investigation accessibility have been explored. The final survey was approved by the GETNE Academy taskforce. An anonymous online survey was conducted between August and November 2020. The survey was distributed by the main national medical and surgery societies.
