Targeted and photodynamic therapeutic effect of octreotide nano-micelles loaded with chlorin e6 on neuroendocrine tumors

#3185

Introduction: Nanotechnology combined with photodynamic treatment (PDT) has attracted extensive attention due to the targeted treatment of specific receptors and improve the efficacy. The treatment with PDT on neuroendocrine neoplasms is not reported yet.

Aim(s): We aimed to explore the effect and mechanism of multifunctional polymer nano-micelles combined with photodynamic treatment in neuroendocrine tumors.

Materials and methods: Octreotide (OCT)-PEG-lys-M and mPEG-PEG-lys-M-Ce6 were mixed to form polymer micelles by nano-precipitation. The biological characteristics and antitumor effect were detected in pancreatic neuroendocrine tumor cell line QGP-1.
