The clinicopathological characteristics of gastro enteropancreatic neuroendocrine tumors - A single center experience from Pakistan
#3162
Introduction: Gastroenteropancreatic neuroendocrine tumors GEP NETS are a heterogeneous group of tumors with variable behaviours.
Aim(s): We aimed to study the baseline characteristics and outcomes of GEP-NETS and to establish the impact of tumor grade and resectability on overall survival, in a developing country.
Materials and methods: A single-center retrospective view of patients registered at SKMCH&RC Pakistan with the diagnosis of GEP-NETS was carried out from the HIS. The baseline characteristics of 134 patients from January 2006 to December 2019 were analysed. Extra GEP-NET and dual histology patients were excluded. Overall survival was estimated using Kaplan Meir curves. The impact of tumor grade and resectability was seen on the OS. Data were analysed using SPSS version 23.
