The obesity paradox in patients with bronchial NENs in a single tertiary referral center in the United Kingdom

#3750

Introduction: In patients (pts) with lung cancer, there are multiple studies demonstrating obesity is significantly associated with improved overall survival (OS), this is known as the obesity paradox. It is unknown if this paradox exists in pts with bronchial NENs.

Aim(s): To explore the presence of the obesity paradox in patients with bronchial NENs.

Materials and methods: Retrospective data of all bronchial NENs referred to an ENETS CoE between 2000-2021 were analysed. Demographic, histopathologic and anthropometric (weight, height, BMI) data were collected. For OS Kaplan Meier, log-rank tests and cox regression analysis were performed.
