The psychology of NETs: Exploring anxiety, depression and emotional thermometers
#3116
Introduction: Patients with NETs may experience anxiety and depression, but there is a paucity of clinical data in this field.
Aim(s): To explore the relationship between psychological symptoms and NET clinical data.
Materials and methods: 155 Patients attending NET clinic appointments completed the PHQ-2, PHQ-9, HADS and ET questionnaires. Age, disease duration and phase (1: initial diagnosis 2: ‘cured’ on surveillance 3: stable advanced disease on treatment or active monitoring 4: metastatic disease on treatment needing symptom management 5: advanced disease with progression or management changing 6: palliative) were compared with anxiety and depression.
