The quantitative assessment importance in NETs diagnosis
#4102
Introduction: SRS are representing the gold standard in SRS overexpression NETs diagnosis.
Aim(s): The implementation in medical practice of uptake indicis would have profound theragnostic implications, helping to a more complete understanding of the NETs.
Materials and methods: We performed retrospective research on 54 patients with NETs over a period of 12 months. On the WB images acquired at 4 h, the equal ROIs were drawn for every interest uptake area. Using the activity adjustment linked to the background, we projected a new correction calculation formula, then three uptake indices were calculated (I= RItumor/ROILiver, I2=ROItumor/ROISpleen, I= ROItumor/ROILung). We compared the indices values obtained before and after the proposed adjustments. For statistical analysis, it were evaluated the AUC value and the ROC curve, comparing the corrected vs uncorrected predictive uptake indices values.
