The Role of Chromogranin A as a Predictor of Radiological Disease Progression in Midgut and Pancreatic Neuroendocrine Tumors

#862

Introduction: Chromogranin A (CgA) is an established neuroendocrine biomarker. However, its role as a predictor of radiological disease progression in all neuroendocrine tumors (NETs) has not been recognised yet.

Aim(s): To investigate the role of CgA as a predictor of radiological progression.

Materials and methods: Patients with metastatic NETs and evidence of radiological progression (RP) were identified. Plasma CgA levels were measured at six and 12 months (m) before RP and at RP.
