The Role of Serum Concentration Ratio of Neuron-Specific Enolase in the Evaluation of Therapeutic Effect of Neuroendocrine Tumor
#2715
Introduction: There has been no good serum biomarker for the evaluation of the therapeutic effect of Neuroendocrine tumors(NET)
Aim(s): To investigate the role of the neuron-specific enolase(NSE) serum concentration ratio before and after a treatment cycle in evaluating the therapeutic effect of neuroendocrine tumors.
Materials and methods: Before and after a treatment cycle of neuroendocrine tumor, we detected the serum concentration of NSE, and at the same time, carried out a Computed tomography(CT) imaging examination, calculated the Ratio of post-treatment NSE concentration to pre-treatment NSE concentration(NSE Ratio). evaluated whether there was progress in the disease by the CT image, a significant increase in tumor volume and the emergence of new metastases are considered to progress. Then we explored the relationship between NSE Ratio and disease progression.
