#4628

Introduction: Neuroendocrine breast carcinoma is a rare histological form of breast cancer, that represent 0.1% of all breast cancers and is recognised by the World Health Organization as a distinct entity. Characterised by a non-specific clinical and radiological presentation. Therapeutic management is not codified and is usually superimposed on that of classical breast cancer.

Aim(s): To describe a rare entity of a breast neuroendocrine carcinoma in an elderly woman.

Materials and methods: We report the case of a 70-year-old patient with a hystory of hypertension, who presented with a right breast mass. Micribiopsy revealed neuroendocrine carcinoma. Immunohistochemical study showed overexpression of chormogranine A and synaptophysin, and negativity of ER, PR as well as HER2, Ki-67 index of 100%. Thoraco-abdomino-pelvic CT and bone scintigraphy revealed extensive metastasis to liver, lungs and bone.
