Tumor mutation burden in gastroenteropancreatic neuroendocrine neoplasms

#3633

Introduction: Neuroendocrine neoplasms (NENs) are rare tumors with limited treatment options. Microsatellite instability (MSI) and tumor mutation burden (TMB) are novel biomarkers in various tumor types. However, few studies have been performed for these novel biomarkers in gastroenteropancreatic (GEP)- NENs.

Aim(s): We analysed MSI and TMB of GEP-NENs.

Materials and methods: We analysed 31 patients diagnosed with GEP-NEN between 2013 to 2022. The TMB and MSI analyses using next-generation sequencing (NGS) were performed for all patients. The TruSightTM Oncology 500 assay from Illumina was used as the NGS panel.
