Utility of SSTR radioligands in imaging and treatment of paediatric GEP-NETs

#3338

Introduction: Metastasized gastroenteropancreatic neuroendocrine tumors (GEP-NETS) in paediatric patients <10 years are extremely rare (2% of all paediatric NETs). The role of Somatostatin Receptor (SSTR) imaging using 68GaDOTATATE and Peptide Receptor Radionuclide Therapy (PRRT) with 177Lu DOTATATE in this patient group is currently not well established. We present 2 paediatric patients with GEP-NETs who have been imaged with 68Ga DOTA PET/CT and treated with 177Lu DOTATATE therapy.

Aim(s): The utility of SSTR radioligands in paediatric GEP-NETs.

Materials and methods: Two 9 yo male pts with G2 gastric (patient A) and G2 pancreatic (patient B) NET were imaged with 68Ga DOTA PET/CT and treated with 4 and 2 cycles 177Lu DOTATATE respectively at 10-12 week intervals. Histopathology, imaging and PRRT results were evaluated.
