Value of Somatostatin Receptor Imaging (SRI) in Patients with Appendiceal Neuroendocrine Neoplasms (ANEN) Base on Clinical Follow-Up
#1874
Introduction: Neuroendocrine neoplasms of the appendix are common GEP-NEN tumors.
Aim(s): Review the value of Somatostatin Receptor Scintigraphy (SRS) in staging and imaging follow-up of patients with confirmed appendiceal NEN (ANEN) based on clinical follow-up, as single institution experience.
Materials and methods: Overall, 100 patients with confirmed ANEN. SRS using 99mTc Octreotide whole body WB-SPECT/CT as imaging follow-up, disease extent before/after additional surgery were performed in 81 of them.
