Prof. Massimo Falconi

Massimo Falconi is currently Full Professor of Surgery and Chairman of the Pancreatic Unit at the University Vita-Salute, San Raffaele Hospital IRCCS, Milan, ltaly. He studied medicine at the University of Verona, specialising in general surgery, gastroenterology and endoscopy. He has participated in international medical research projects in such diverse places as Germany, Spain, Ecuador, and Japan. He is also a member of many medical societies. He was former President of ENETS and currently serves on the Advisory Board of the society. Moreover, he is the current President of the AISP (Associazione Italiana per lo Studio del Pancreas) and stepped down, in 2022, as President of ITANET (Italian Association of Neuroendocrine Tumors). He has written 637 peer-reviewed articles and reviews articles for numerous of journals: his h-index on Scopus is 93.
