The Life Achievement Award 2025 has been awarded to Prof. Philippe Ruszniewski, Professor Emeritus of Gastroenterology at Université Paris Cité and Honorary Dean of Paris Cité Medicine Faculty since September 2024, after a 10-year term as Dean.

Philippe Ruszniewski is a member of the French Académie de Médecine, He has been involved in NET research since the 1990s, is a founding member of ENETS, was a former ENETS Chairman, and has served as an Advisory Board member.

He is the leader of one of the six original ENETS Centres of Excellence, which was accredited in 2008 at Beaujon Hospital, Clichy, and successfully re-accredited since then.

His main topics of research include the early diagnosis of functioning and non-functioning NETs and the development of new therapeutic modalities for patients with NETs. He has been particularly involved in trials with somatostatin analogues, chemotherapy, targeted therapies, and locoregional treatments such as (chemo) embolisation. Professor Ruszniewski has authored more than 500 papers, the majority of these in the field of neuroendocrine tumours.
