Dr. Anna La Salvia is a medical oncologist and researcher at the National Centre for Drug Research and Evaluation of the Istituto Superiore di Sanità (ISS) in Rome. Her research activity focuses on neuroendocrine neoplasms (NENs), with a particular interest in translational and clinical research, early-phase clinical development, and regulatory science. She serves as a clinical assessor for Phase I clinical trials in Italy and is a member of the national Commission for the Evaluation of Eligibility for Phase I Trials, as well as a clinical expert for the European Medicines Agency (EMA).
Dr. La Salvia is actively engaged in national and international research networks in the field of NENs, contributing to both scientific and educational initiatives. She has authored more than 100 peer-reviewed publications, co-authored national guidelines on NENs, and is involved in editorial activities and international congresses. She also coordinates research projects in this field.
