Dr. Hannes Leupe is a nuclear medicine resident and PhD candidate at University Hospitals Leuven (UZ Leuven), Belgium, under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Christophe Deroose. His research focuses on somatostatin receptor (SSTR) PET/CT imaging in neuroendocrine tumours (NETs), with particular expertise in [¹⁸F]AlF-NOTA-octreotide as an alternative to [⁶⁸Ga]Ga-DOTA-SSA tracers. He has led multiple peer-reviewed publications and an ENETS-endorsed international Delphi panel to standardise SSTR PET response criteria. Clinically, he contributes to NET multidisciplinary tumour boards and aims to develop a career as a physician-scientist in nuclear medicine and theranostics.
