#3243 The major impact of proGRP monitoring in advanced atypical lung carcinoid: A case report

Introduction: Atypical lung carcinoids (aLC) are more aggressive than typical carcinoids, metastasizing more commonly to distant sites, and require vigilant follow-up. However, the surveillance is often hampered by the non-informative Chromogranin A (CgA) levels.

#2879 Lung Neuroendocrine Tumors: Experience of Medical Oncology Department of Hospital 1st November 1954 Oran

Introduction: Lung neuroendocrine tumors account for 25% of all neuroendocrine tumors. It is a heterogeneous group that meets morphological criteria; immunohistochemical and molecular; defining 4 groups: Typical and atypical carcinoid tumors, neuroendocrine carcinomas with large cell and small cells. Carcinoid syndrome is rare in these tumors and the treatment is based on surgery for localized forms and multimodal treatment for metastatic forms.

#668 Analysis of the Undifferentiated Neuroendocrine Carcinomas (grade 3) from the Czech Neuroendocrine Registry

Introduction: GEP NETs WHO classification 2010 describes well-differentiated tumors grade 1 and grade 2 and neuroendocrine carcinomas grade 3 with high mitotic index over 20 mitoses /10 HPF or Ki 67 over 20%. Pulmonary neuroendocrine tumor classification 2004 describes typical and atypical carcinoid tumor and small-cell and large-cell neuroendocrine carcinomas with mitotic index over 10 mitoses/ 10 HPF.

#111 Atypical lung carcinoid tumor metastatic to endocrine glands and bone marrow

Introduction: Bronchopulmonary neuroendocrine tumors (BP-NETs) comprise 20% of all lung cancers. Typical low grade carcinoid tumors (TC) represent the majority of BP-carcinoids. Intermediate grade atypical carcinoid tumors (AC) are less often encountered but more aggressive. Although metastatic dissemination to mediastinal lymph nodes, liver, skeleton and central nervous system (CNS) is common, involvement of the endocrine glands has rarely been reported.
