#3201 Safety and efficacy of peptide receptor radionuclide therapy in treating high-risk patients with extensive neuroendocrine tumors

Introduction: Neuroendocrine tumors (NETs) are a rare group of neoplasms. Peptide receptor radionuclide therapy (PRRT) is a well-recognized treatment modality for NETs that express somatostatin receptors (SSRs) on neuroendocrine cells’ surface. While many studies assessed the efficacy and safety in all NET patients, only a few focused on high-risk patients.

Introduction: In the NETTER-1 study, peptide receptor radionuclide therapy (PRRT) with 177Lu-DOTATATE increased progression-free survival (PFS) and time to deterioration in quality of life (QoL) in patients with advanced midgut neuroendocrine tumours (NETs), compared with octreotide.
