ALPPS for Neuroendocrine Liver Metastases Not Suitable for Conventional Hepatic Resection - Interim Analysis of the International ALPPS Registry
Introduction:
Surgery is the most effective treatment option for neuroendocrine liver metastases (NELM). However, the majority of patients with NELM do not have disease that is resectable using conventional methods. Associating liver partition and portal vein ligation for staged hepatectomy (ALPPS) is a relatively novel two-stage strategy in hepatic surgery.

Unique Metastatic Patterns in Neuroendocrine Neoplasms of Different Primary Origin
Introduction:
Neuroendocrine neoplasms (NEN) can originate in different organs, e.g. in the gastro-enteric tract (GE), pancreas (P) or lung (L). Despite similarities in clinical and pathological characteristics in tumors of another origin, differences also exist. This might apply to metastatic patterns as well, but only limited data is available so far.

Radioembolization for Neuroendocrine Liver Metastases: An Institutional Case Series, Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis
Introduction:
Neuroendocrine liver metastases are clinically challenging and often non-resectable due to their frequent disseminated distribution. Radioembolisation with yttrium-90 labelled microspheres represents an emerging modality for NELM.

Palliative CT Brachytherapy in Hepatic Metastatic NET
Introduction:
Hepatic metastases of gastroenteropancreatic neuroendocrine tumors (GEP-NETs) may induce prognosis relevant complications in an otherwise stable systemic disease after resection of the primary.

Targeting CXCR4 and Thioredoxin Reductase in Theranostics of Atypical Carcinoid and Neuroendocrine Carcinoma
Introduction:
Atypical carcinoid and small cell lung cancer (SCLC) are currently incurable. There is thus a critical need for new diagnostic and therapeutic strategies for lung neuroendocrine neoplasms (LNEN). Chemokine receptor 4 (CXCR4), a G protein coupled receptor and theranostic target, plays a crucial role in metastases of LNEN. We hypothesize combination of thioredoxin reductase (TR) inhibitor represents a metabolic strategy to enhance cytotoxicity in peptide-receptor radionuclide therapy (PRRT) of LNEN.
