#3415 The PEI-Q paradox: Qualitative assessment of exocrine function in NET patients treated with SSAs

Introduction: Somatostatin-analogues (SSAs) are first-line treatment of unresectable, symptomatic neuroendocrine tumors (NETs), though can cause pancreatic exocrine insufficiency (PEI). PEI symptoms of diarrhoea, bloating, and steatorrhea overlap with those of NETs (carcinoid sequelae), and both have a negative impact on quality of life. The Pancreatic Exocrine Insufficiency Questionnaire (PEI-Q) can be used to assess PEI; however, we hypothesise that the score will be unreliable in SSA-induced PEI due to concurrent improvement of carcinoid symptoms.

#3389 COMPOSE: Phase III trial of 177Lu-edotreotide versus standard of care in well-differentiated (WD) aggressive grade 2 and grade 3 gastroenteropancreatic neuroendocrine tumors (GEP-NETs)

Introduction: Therapeutic algorithm for well-differentiated (WD) high-grade 2 and grade 3 gastroenteropancreatic neuroendocrine tumors (G2 + G3 GEP-NETs) is not well established. Current ‘best standard of care’ include CAPTEM, FOLFOX and everolimus. Peptide Receptor Radionuclide Therapy (PRRT) could be useful in high grade NETs, however there is a lack of prospective evidence. 177Lu-edotreotide is an innovative radiolabeled somatostatin analogue with a favourable safety profile and efficacy. The ongoing Phase III trial COMPETE in G1 and G2 GEP-NETs is exploring the efficacy and safety of 177Lu-edotreotide, in comparison to everolimus.

#2824 Patient and Nurse Satisfaction with the New Lanreotide Autogel Pre-Filled Syringe in Neuroendocrine Tumors (NET): A Prospective Study (SONATE)

Introduction: A new syringe (NS) for the delivery of lanreotide autogel was approved in Oct 2018 in France. The NS includes updated features (larger flanges, more robust plunger) intended to ease the injection.
