68Ga-DOTA peptides PET/CT radiomics in differentiation between pancreatic NET from physiologic uncinate process uptake
#3822
Introduction: 68Ga-DOTA peptides PET/CT (PET/CT) is the gold standard for neuroendocrine tumors detection (NET), which are often localized in the pancreas. Physiological uptake of pancreatic uncinate process (UP) is a known false positive site in almost of patients.
Aim(s): This study assessed the diagnostic value of PET/CT volumetric and texture parameters to differentiate pancreatic NET (pNET) from physiological UP uptake.
Materials and methods: We retrospectively reviewed 68 patients, with pathology-proven pNET (n=34) and non-pancreatic NET with physiological increased UP uptake(n=34), who underwent PET/CT at staging disease. UP and pNET were delineated using a fully manually selection at CT and then defined by 50%SUVmax threshold. Volumetric and radiomic parameters were measured using LIFEx software. The comparison of parameters between groups was performed using ANOVA test (P<0,005). Only significant ANOVA were retained in discriminant analysis.
