Access to diagnosis and treatments for patients with neuroendocrine tumors: A survey by the Brazilian Gastrointestinal Tumors Group
#3447
Introduction: While new treatments and diagnostic methods for patients (pts) with neuroendocrine neoplasms (NEN) have been incorporated, the extent of such access to Brazilian pts is unknown.
Aim(s): To evaluate the frequency and patterns of national access to diagnosis and treatments for NEN, according to health care systems (public vs private).
Materials and methods: This was a cross-sectional e-survey sent to oncologists across Brazil through social networks. Questions collected demographic data of participants, work setting, patterns of follow-up and availability of evidence-based diagnostic tests and therapies for NEN.
