Analysis of 18FDG-PET/CT in Patients with Gastrointestinal Neuroendocrine Neoplasm

#1304

Introduction: Gastrointestinal neuroendocrine neoplasm (Gi-NEN) comprised a wide and heterogeneous group of neoplasms. Diagnosis could often be challenging due to their rarity. 18FDG-PET/CT had a high accuracy for poorly differentiated NENs.

Aim(s): This study aimed to assess the value of 18FDG-PET/CT in Gi-NEN patients and illustrate the correlation between glucose metabolism and differentiation degree of tumor.

Materials and methods: 37 patients (22 males, 15 females, age: 34-77 years) with definite histological diagnosis of Gi-NEN who underwent 18FDG-PET/CT were involved in this retrospective study. All the patients had primary lesions or metastases.
