Analysis of presentation and outcomes of mixed adenoneuroendocrine carcinoma (MANEC) – A single centre experience

Introduction: Mixed adenoneuroendocrine carcinoma (MANEC) is a rare neoplasm characterised by the coexistence of both adenocarcinoma and neuroendocrine carcinoma components. Due to its rarity, limited data exist regarding its clinical presentation, treatment strategies, and outcomes. This study provides an analysis of MANEC cases from a single centre, providing insights into its clinical features, diagnostic challenges, treatment strategies, and prognosis.

Aim(s): To analyse the clinical presentation, histopathological features, and challenges associated with mixed adenoneuroendocrine carcinoma (MANEC).

Materials and methods: A retrospective review of patients diagnosed with MANEC between 2017 to 2023 was conducted. Clinical data, including presentation, histopathology, imaging findings, treatment regimens, and outcomes, were analysed.
