Diagnostic work-up for neuroendocrine tumors of occult primary at diagnosis: A retrospective monocentric study of 60 cases

#4164

Introduction: Neuroendocrine tumors (NET) are sometimes diagnosed with an occult primary. Identifying the primary and ruling-out unknown primary NET (NET-UP) has therapeutic implications.

Aim(s): To analyse the primary site identification work-up (imaging, pathology, biology etc) and to study the outcomes.

Materials and methods: We conducted a retrospective single-centre study including patients with occult primary NET at initial diagnosis between 1998 and 2022 at Gustave Roussy and collected data regarding clinical, biological, histological, molecular, imaging and treatment features.
