Different sites of rare metastases in neuroendocrine tumor patients detected by Ga-68 somatostatin receptor PET/CT

#162

Introduction: The most common sites of metastases in neuroendocrine tumors are liver, lymph nodes, and bone.

Aim(s): To find out the incidence and location of other sites of metastases.

Materials and methods: Between July 2004 and December 2009, 4,210 Ga-68 somatostatin-receptor PET/CT studies were performed at our center. We retrospectively looked into the reports of patients to check the rare sites of metatsases other than liver, bone and lymph nodes. The lesions were confirmed on follow-up and/or other imaging methods (MRI, echocardiograohy, ultrasound).
