Introduction: 28% of low-grade neuroendocrine tumors (NETs) present at advanced stages and are unresponsive to therapy, pointing to a gap in our understanding of how these tumors arise and progress.

Aim(s): To generate a robust and faithful experimental in vitro system to study neuroendocrine neoplasms (NENs).

Materials and methods: We have applied the organoid culture system to study NENs.
