Effects of curcumin on pancreatic neuroendocrine neoplasms

#3658

Introduction: Pancreatic neuroendocrine neoplasms (pNENs) are a group of rare tumors with strong heterogeneity. Recently, its incidence has gradually increased, which brought a great challenge of treatment because of lack of management for this rare disease.

Aim(s): Safe and effective drugs to attempt to cure pNENs were explored.

Materials and methods: Curcumin was selected for the excellent performance in inhibition of other neoplasms. pNENs cell lines (QGP-1, BON-1) was used to observe the effect of curcumin. RNA sequencing of QGP-1 cells after curcumin intervention were conducted to explore possible tumor related molecular pathways, and the results were verified by western blotting (WB).
