FDG uptake in lung neuroendocrine tumours and its association with tumour characteristics and prognosis
#4390
Introduction: The utility of fluorodeoxyglucose positron emission tomography (FDG-PET) in the evaluation of lung neuroendocrine tumours (L-NETs) remains debated.
Aim(s): To examine the association of pre-operative FDG uptake in L-NETs with clinical and pathological characteristics.
Materials and methods: A multicentre retrospective study included 94 patients with L-NETs, of whom 81 underwent pre-operative FDG-PET imaging. Clinical and pathological data were compared between FDG-positive(n=30) and FDG-negative (n=51) groups.
