Finding the options of managing duodenal carcinoids in Pakistan. A retrospective study in a territory care setup

Introduction: Duodenal carcinoids are mostly rare and show indolent clinical behaviour. They exhibit variety of symptoms and are often difficult to diagnose. These tumors carry a low risk for lymphatic or distant metastasis.
Aim(s): We aim to analyse the management of duodenal carcinoids based on their clinicopathological characteristics.
Materials and methods: A retrospective study was conducted in a tertiary care centre and 40 patients with resected duodenal carcinoid were identified and enrolled in the study. The clinical and pathological data was recorded. Complete follow-up to date was also obtained.
