Grade 3 neuroendocrine neoplasms – Real life experience and prognostic biomarkers

#3565

Introduction: Grade 3 neuroendocrine neoplasms (G3 NEN) are a heterogeneous group, including well differentiated tumors (NET) and poorly differentiated carcinomas (NEC), whose identification can be challenging. Accessible prognostic tools are needed to individualize treatment. Data suggests neutrophil/lymphocyte ratios (NLR) and systemic inflammatory index (SII) have prognostic value in NEN.

Aim(s): Primary endpoint was demographic characterization of the population and survival analysis. Secondary endpoint was to evaluate Ki67, NLR and SII impact on OS.

Materials and methods: We retrospectively analysed G3 NEN from January 2015 to April 2021. NLR and SII (NLR x Platelets) were calculated before starting first-line treatment. A cut-off of 4 and 698 was used, respectively, according to literature.
