#4471 Acromegaly and small intestinal neuroendocrine tumours: Association or coincidence?
Introduction: Neuroendocrine tumours of the small intestine (SI-NETs), although rare, are the most prevalent primary neoplasms of this organ. Acromegaly is characterised by excessive secretion of growth hormone (GH), typically due to a pituitary adenoma, but in rare cases, it can result from ectopic secretion of GH-releasing hormone (GHRH) by non-pituitary tumours, particularly NETs of the lung or pancreas.

Introduction: Neuroendocrine neoplasms (NENs) are heterogeneous malignancies, with a great variability in clinical behaviour and prognosis. Capecitabine and temozolomide combination (CAPTEM) has shown positive results in these patients, with a good safety profile.

#3565 Grade 3 neuroendocrine neoplasms – Real life experience and prognostic biomarkers
Introduction: Grade 3 neuroendocrine neoplasms (G3 NEN) are a heterogeneous group, including well differentiated tumors (NET) and poorly differentiated carcinomas (NEC), whose identification can be challenging. Accessible prognostic tools are needed to individualize treatment. Data suggests neutrophil/lymphocyte ratios (NLR) and systemic inflammatory index (SII) have prognostic value in NEN.

Introduction: Neuroendocrine neoplasms (NNE) are a heterogeneous group, arising from different anatomical locations. Studies showed a higher prevalence of other malignancies associated with NNE when compared to other types of cancer.
