Head-to-head comparison of 18F-AIF-NOTA-octreotide and 68Ga-DOTA-TATE PET/CT in patients with neuroendocrine neoplasms

#4309

Introduction: 18F-AIF-NOTA-octreotide (F-Oc) is a radiolabelled SSA emerging as a potential alternative to 68Ga-DOTATATE (Ga-DT) due to logistical advantages. Recent studies indicate that F-Oc has comparable diagnostic accuracy to Ga-DT in neuroendocrine neoplasm (NEN) and, in some cases, can identify a greater number of lesions.

Aim(s): The present study aimed to compare the F-Oc and Ga-DT PET/CT among patients with NEN.

Materials and methods: F-Oc and Ga-DT PET/CT were performed in NEN patients. Normal biodistribution and pathological PET findings were compared using SUVmax. Tumour-to-liver ratio was calculated by dividing the SUVmax of lesions by liver SUVmax. Data were expressed as average + SD. Wilcoxon signed-rank test assessed the differences between F-Oc and Ga-DT. p < 0.05 was considered as statistically significant.
