Health-related quality of life (HRQL) and supportive care needs (SCN) of gastroenteropancreatic neuroendocrine tumours (GEP-NET) in a Swiss NET Centre
#4328
Introduction: Health-related quality of life (HRQL) and supportive care needs (SCN) of patients with gastroenteropancreatic neuroendocrine tumours (GEP-NET) remain understudied. Assessing and identifying the affected domains of HRQL and SCN of the patients with GEP-NET is part of the nursing practice and may contribute to adapt the nursing care.
Aim(s): To describe HRQL and unmet SCN of patients with GEP-NET and to explore the correlation between them.
Materials and methods: This was a descriptive, cross-sectional study. Patients with GEP-NET (N=127) were invited to participate in the study at a Swiss NET Center, in 2021. HRQL was measured with the EORTC questionnaire with the module "gastrointestinal neuroendocrine tumours" and SCN with the SCN Survey Short Form 34 (SCNS-SF34).
