Incidence and Outcome of Brain Metastasis in Patients Diagnosed with Neuroendocrine Neoplasm

#2763

Introduction: Brain metastases are rarely reported in patients with neuroendocrine carcinoma of non-lung origin and neuroendocrine tumors (NETs) of the gastroenteropancreatic or bronchopulmonary system.

Aim(s): We aim to analyse the frequency, origin, treatment and outcome of brain metastases in patients diagnosed with neuroendocrine tumor and NEC of non-lung origin.

Materials and methods: A retrospective study was conducted and 48 patients diagnosed with gastroenteropancreatic neuroendocrine neoplasm and bronchopulmonary neuroendocrine tumor were included in the study. Univariate and multivariate analysis was performed using Cox Proportional Hazards Regression.
