Incomplete Peptide Receptor Radionuclide Therapy Courses - Are We Selecting Our Patients Appropriately?
#3019
Introduction: As per recommendations, a Peptide Receptor Radionuclide Therapy (PRRT) with Lu-177 DOTATATE course usually consists of 4 cycles. Patients may discontinue a PRRT course early, either due to progression or toxicity. Limited data are available about predictive factors for PRRT early discontinuation.
Aim(s): To assess reasons and predictive factors associated with incomplete PRRT courses in advanced Gastro-Entero-Pancreatic Neuroendocrine Neoplasms (GEPNEN).
Materials and methods: Eighty six out of 487 patients (17.6%) with GEPNEN who failed to complete 4 cycles of PRRT were included and divided into two groups. Group A included pts with severe toxicity and Group B those with symptomatic or radiological progression, or death. Fisher’s exact test, logistic regression and multivariate analysis were performed.
