“Lung side & sites”, the importance of localization and prognostic implications in pulmonary neuroendocrine tumors: An Italian-Spanish multicentric study of 139 cases

#3210

Introduction: Well-differentiated neuroendocrine lung tumors (Lung NET) are classified as typical (TC) and atypical (AC) carcinoids, based on mitotic counts and the presence of necrosis. However, a prognostic role for primary tumor localization (central vs peripheral and right vs left) has not been established yet.

Aim(s): To identify prognostic factors in patients with lung NETs.

Materials and methods: A multicentric retrospective study, including 139 lung NET, all surgically removed, from Italian&Spanish NET Centers.
