#3210 “Lung side & sites”, the importance of localization and prognostic implications in pulmonary neuroendocrine tumors: An Italian-Spanish multicentric study of 139 cases

Introduction: Well-differentiated neuroendocrine lung tumors (Lung NET) are classified as typical (TC) and atypical (AC) carcinoids, based on mitotic counts and the presence of necrosis. However, a prognostic role for primary tumor localization (central vs peripheral and right vs left) has not been established yet.

#1861 Surgical Strategies and Selection Criteria for Patients with Liver Metastasis from Neuroendocrine Tumors: Personal Experience.

Introduction: The role of surgical treatment of liver metastasis from neuroendocrine neoplasm(NET) is still a debated issue,and the management of these patients is entrusted to the practical experience of single centers.The main problem is that there are not available randomized trials comparing surgical resection to unthreated patients or other liver directed therapy.

#1066 The Impact of Pharmacological-Mediated Depletion of Macrophages in Pancreatic Neuroendocrine Neoplasms

Introduction: Pancreatic neuroendocrine tumors (PNETs) are a heterogeneous group of neuroendocrine neoplasms with distinct biological behaviour and response to treatment. Previous reports indicate that the infiltration of tumor-associated macrophages (TAMs) in PNETs strongly correlates with proliferation and metastases.
