MIBG scintigraphy in metastatic neuroblastoma: A retrospective study of 25 cases
#3423
Introduction: Meta-iodobenzylguanidine (MIBG) scintigraphy is the first-line functional imaging agent used in neuroblastoma imaging, identifying both the primary tumor and sites of metastatic disease.
Aim(s): Isotopic exploration of metastatic neuroblastoma.
Materials and methods: Retrospective study including neuroblastoma patients referred for MIBG scintigraphy from 01/2016-12/2020. They were prepared (thyroid blockade, hydration, and laxatives) before a slow intravenous injection of l-MIBG and imaging were accomplished 48 and 72 hours after injection.
