Mutation Spectrums Analysis of Colorectal Adenocarcinoma and Neuroendocrine Neoplasm Based on Same Genetic Background to Reveal Tumorigenesis
#2920
Introduction: The tumorigenesis of neuroendocrine neoplasm (NEN) are still ambiguous. The therapies of NENs in colon or rectum refer to adenocarcinomas (AC) when tumor metastasis, but the response was unsatisfactory which inspired us to explore the mutation difference.
Aim(s): Analyzing NET, NEC and AC in the same gene background to discuss the tumorigenesis.
Materials and methods: We collected three very rare patients with synchronous unfunctional rectal NEN and colon AC and performed whole exon sequencing. Two patients (P1 and P2) with synchronous rectal NET G1 and colon AC obtain somatic mutations filtering out matched normal tissue. One patient (P3) with synchronous rectal NEC and colon AC obtained somatic mutations filtering out public database.
