Outcome of typical and atypical carcinoids after surgical resection – A single center retrospective study
#3888
Introduction: Typical (TC) and atypical carcinoids (AC) are rare malignant neoplasms.
Aim(s): To retrospectively analyse the recurrence rate (RR), type of recurrence and overall survival (OS) of patients with TC and AC who underwent primary surgery and lymph nodes dissection from a single high volume surgical center.
Materials and methods: We collected patients with diagnosis of TC and AC confirmed by local pathologist expert in this field, treated with surgical resection at our center between 2000 and 2017. Patient with available clinical and follow-up data were included.
