Patient Survey Devoted to Characterizing Experience and Expectations of Patients with Neuroendocrine Tumors (NET)
#2263
Introduction: Patients (pts) with NET experience consequences of disease progression and treatments; their preferences can influence the choice and success of therapeutic strategies.
Aim(s): To better characterize the experience and expectations of pts with NET.
Materials and methods: An anonymous online survey was open 16-Jan to 7-Apr 2017 to pts and relatives living in France and registered in the NET or multiple endocrine neoplasia sections of a patient website. The French patient group APTED assisted with survey dissemination. Questions explored 5 dimensions: patient profile; medical journey to diagnosis; quality of life (QoL); information expected; and carcinoid syndrome (CS).
