Pelvic metastases in patients with neuroendocrine tumors: A rare site of metastases
#3995
Introduction: Pelvic metastases (PMs) in patients with neuroendocrine tumors (NETs) are rare and develop predominately in women with small intestinal NETs (Si-NETs). The characteristics of NET related PMs and the efficacy of different management options have been poorly investigated.
Aim(s): The aim of this study was to evaluate the characteristics of PMs in patients with NETs as well as the efficacy of available treatment options.
Materials and methods: We collected retrospectively the data of patients from two tertiary referral centers and analyzed the epidemiological, histological and imaging features as well as the clinical outcome of patients with NET associated PMs.
