Precision medicine in advanced NENs: Molecular profiling and target actionability real world data

#4205

Introduction: Molecular profiling (MP) of NENs is not performed on routine basis and its potential clinical use is a matter of debate.

Aim(s): Our aim is to explore the clinical applicability of MP performed in a cohort of advanced NENs in the context of basket clinical trials.

Materials and methods: We performed NGS MP in blood and/or tumor tissue of 124 pts with advanced NENs (NET G1/2/3: 12/32/21, NEC: 53) of different primary origin (13 esophagogastric, 33 pancreas, 22 SI, 15 colorectal, 19 Lung, 10 UK, 12 Other). Genetic alterations (GA) were ranked by the ESMO Scale for Clinical Actionability of Molecular Targets (ESCAT) based on evidence available supporting their value as clinical targets. The primary objective was to assess the clinical applicability and benefit of MP in advanced NENs in clinical practice.
