Stereotactic radiosurgery of brain metastases in large cell neuroendocrine carcinoma of the lung

#3554

Introduction: Stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS) is an established treatment of brain metastases (BM) in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) whereas small cell lung cancer (SCLC) is usually treated with whole-brain irradiation (WBI). There is no consensus on treatment of BM in large cell neuroendocrine carcinoma of the lung (LCNEC).

Aim(s): To identify overall survival after SRS of BM in patients with LCNEC.

Materials and methods: A retrospective database of 1275 consecutive patients with BM from solid tumors treated with SRS year 2012-2020 was analysed. Patients with LCNEC without any NSCLC/SCLC histopathology component treated with SRS were identified in the database.
