Surgery after Peptide Receptor Radionuclide Therapy (PRRT) for Patients with Neuroendocrine Tumors (NETs) with Metastatic Abdominal Localizations.

#745

Introduction: There are only few case reports about surgery in patients affected by gastroenteropancreatic neuroendocrine tumor (GEP-NET) patients previously underwent peptide receptor radionuclide therapy (PRRT).

Aim(s): To evaluate the safety and efficacy of surgery after PRRT in metastatic GEP-NET.

Materials and methods: Of 181 NET patients who previously underwent PRRT with yttrium-90-DOTATOC or lutetium-177-DOTATATE, eight were submitted to surgical resection for abdominal localizations, after multidisciplinary discussion at the European Institute of Oncology.
